Halloween Spooktakula

Sunday evening saw a fantastic night at The Rowans, with ghouls, ghosts and hobgoblins strutting their stuff alongside werewolves, witches and vampires beneath the disco lights to a fine playlist from our DJ Beetlejuice . beetlejuiceThe hall looked absolutely amazing thanks to John and his helpers, and the images on the big screen were truly terrifying. Thanks to Noeleen for the tasty hotpot, both traditional and veggie. We would just make a plea that you do order tickets for events in advance to help us to ensure we get the catering right. There were scary cocktails, both alcoholic and non, each with a fiendish garnish of eyeballs as well as the more usual parasol! holly-halloweenThe raffle was well supported, and all the prize-winners ( some more lucky than others!) seemed well pleased with their winnings. The games were great fun and very ably run by volunteers to whom we are most grateful for making this such a special night. The name of the teddy bear turned out to be Henrietta (anything to do with our esteemed Executive Committee member?) holly-dunk-and-ads-halloweenIn short everyone had an amazing time and a big thank you to all those who turned up to enjoy the party or who helped in any way to make it such a huge success.halloween-report-2halloween-report-3
